Industrial Support Company Ltda., HighService, was born on February 2009, as Hugo Salamanca Poblete’s initiative, an Electrical Civil Engineer, graduated from University of Concepción with over 10 years of experience in mining, at that time.

1999

1999 In October 1999, the first and oldest business unit is created, Services Management (GSER), which supported the first contract for Minera Los Pelambres. Furthermore, it supported also contracts with other mining customers such as: Chuquicamata Division, Ministro Hales Division and Gabriela Mistral Division, El Teniente Division, Andina Division of Codelco-Chile; Caserones Project of Minera Lumina Copper Chile; Sierra Gorda of KGHM, Mantos Blancos Division and Los Bronces Division of Anglo American Chile and Dona Ines of Collahuasi.

2000

In 2000, a second business unit, Drive and Automatic Control Management (A&CA) is created in order to provide specialized technical assistance of ring mill engines technology at SAG mills in Concentration Plants. Thus, its first international experience began in 2004, at Sossego mine in Brazil, then followed Germany, Argentina, Bolivia, Mexico, Zambia and Australia. It currently has contracts with national mining customers and other customers from the region (Argentina and Brazil).

2007

In 2007, another important milestone takes place, the creation of the consortium Mining Industrial Robotic Solutions (MIRS), a Joint Venture between HighService, Codelco, Nippon Mining and Kuka Robotics, created to give robotic solutions to advanced companies in modern mining and worldwide metallurgy. Robotic projects have been materialized within national and international markets and the most recent project was in 2015 when it is put in place the first Starter Sheet Robotic Stripping Machine in the world, in Amarillo’s refinery in Texas.
