The corporate responsibility is one of the fundamental values that we share at HighService family. This is why we want to highlight and express our admiration to Mr. Carlos Arrocet Estay, who voluntarily collaborated with the community of Hornitos.

During his free time, Mr. Arrocet fixed the facilities of intercom and the connector at Hornitos School. Authorities of the school expressed their gratitude for the work done as it allows them to improve the security and access of their facilities. Congratulations!

Another demonstration of the high level of commitment achieved by our Caserones team is the work done by GMP HighService Hydrometallurgy, highlighting the collaborators Luis Riquelme Saavedra, Francisco Pastén Trujillo, Carlos Arrocet Estay (from left to right in the photo).

They implemented a laboratory with a test bench in the facilities to better serve our SMC client Lumina Copper Chile in Caserones. This laboratory will allow, among others, to test equipment, identify faults, check new or repaired equipment and train other colleagues.

We emphasize in these colleagues and in their supervision, the commitment that goes beyond the work entrusted to them, generating additional value to our contract and always looking for the best alternatives to give the best possible attention to our clients. Congratulations!

“Chilean mining is innovative but with well-proven technology”

The main challenges as a mining technology and innovation company in Chile and how the company handles them given the characteristics of the business, was the main theme with which

HighService Corp participated at the Mining Forum of the VII Economic Chile -Germany Conference 2016: On The Way To Industry 4.0, organized by the Chilean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

At the event, the subsidiary HighService Technology analyzed the main challenges they face as a company that currently is innovating in a very particular market: the mining industry.

HighService Technology General Manager, Guillermo Vidal, spoke about the management system of the main innovation companies of the group (HighService Technology and MIRS) and explained the context of delivering technology and innovation services and products for mining processes. He also talked about the main obstacles and how the company optimizes its processes to deliver a more defined and resolved service to its customers.

Regarding the management of HighService in this area, he indicated that “we do all the possible tests so that our clients minimize the AIR (ambiguity, uncertainty and risk) of putting new products into their production processes. With that goal we make a strategy as powerful and attractive as possible, in order to bring the most proven products possible to the field”.

The VII Chile-Germany 2016 Economic Conference: On The Way To Industry 4.0. – Challenges and opportunities for Chile – is one of the most relevant events of the Chilean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The 2016 version focused on the areas of Innovation, Technology Transfer, Smart Mining and Human Capital, thus facing the challenges in the “year of productivity”.

Once again the company obtained the recognitions of “Excellence in Risk Prevention” and “National Safety Council”.

The National Security Council, one of the main institutions responsible of promoting and developing the prevention of risks of accidents and occupational diseases, recognized HighService Corp and contractors of Caserones, Minera Los Pelambres, Chuquicamata and Ministro Hales in the category “National Safety Council” and “Excellence in Risk Prevention”.

In the opportunity, HighService Corp received both recognitions, the first for maintaining 3 years or more, consecutively, the lowest Rate of Frequency, among the participants of its group and whose values are of significance.  The “Excellence in Risk Prevention was granted for having achieved the lowest Frequency Rate in its group-category and whose value is of significance.

Juan Carlos Vergara, manager of Risk Prevention, Environment and Quality of HighService Corp said: “As I have pointed out on several occasions, this recognition is the result of good quality work and as a team. For HighService, Occupational Health and Safety are an important part of our corporate values, such as respect for the life and dignity of people, a commitment framed in our Corporate Occupational Safety and Health Policy”.

July 2015, HighService Service has won the “Electrical Maintenance & Cathode Plants Instrumentation and Electrical Rails and Bidge Crane Control and Radio Control” contract with Minera Escondida, for a period of five years.
Within it´s role as strategic partner in the compliance of MEL´s Production Schedule, HighService will realize preventive and corrective maintenance and will offer support for Chancado 2°/3°, OLAP, Lixiviación Sulfuros, SX and EW Plants, particularly in mechanical, and instrumental áreas.

Early February of 2016, HighService Service has won the Full Equipment and Facilities Maintenance Contract, for the LX-SX-EW Area inside the Gabriela Mistral Division, for a period of three years.
Within it´s role as strategic partner in the compliance of the Division´s Production Schedule, HighService will realize planned and unplanned maintenance and operational continuity inside the LX, SX and EW Plants, particularly in mechanical, electrical and instrumental áreas.

Late 2015, HighService has won the “LX-SX-EW Plant Maintenance Service, Radomiro Tomic Division” Project, for a period of five years. Within it´s role as strategic partner in the compliance of the Division´s Production Schedule, HighService will realize planned and unplanned maintenance and operational continuity inside the LX, SX and EW Plants, particularly in mechanical, electrical and instrumental áreas. Besides that, HighService must provide maintenance and technical assistance for the robotic systems of the Cathode Stripping Machines, tolos supplied by HighService Corp Holding´s MIRS.

December 12 was a special day for the 873 Contract workers inside Caserones Plant, since they got to celebrate Christmas and offer grifts to the students of Hornito´s G-39 School. The workers, who are sponsorizing the students in each opportunity, have organized a big breakfast with a lot of cake and sweets, played games and offered Christmas presents.
To be highlighted the children´s happiness during this HighService event, event that brought the Christmas spirit a bit more closer.
